The plan names come from all three languages KraalBook speaks — isiZulu, Afrikaans and English — and climb by the size of land each one describes. The names are the same in every language.
What counts as a record?
- A record is one active animal in your register.
- A batch counts as ONE record — not one per head. 10 ewes captured as a single batch = 1 record.
- Only active animals count. Sold or dead animals don't count toward your plan.
- ✓ All paid plans include up to 20 stockmen.
- ✓ All prices include VAT — R99 is what you pay; R12.91 of it is VAT.
- ✓ 30-day free trial with full functionality — no card or billing details needed.
- ✓ You subscribe and pay here on the website — never inside the app.
- ✓ Billed securely via PayFast, a trusted South African payment provider — you pay in Rand by card or other local payment methods, and your card details are held by PayFast, never by KraalBook.
Fair by design
Your price never goes up by itself. If your herd grows past your plan, the app tells you — but the price only changes after you agree to it here on the website. Nothing is ever charged automatically on a bigger plan.
You are never blocked from recording an animal while your account is in good standing — including if a payment fails. A failed payment starts a retry; it does not stop you capturing in the field.
If your subscription lapses, your data is still yours. Your account goes read-only: you can still log in, view everything and export your records. You just can't capture new ones until you're paid up again. Pay, and everything switches back on.
