Plan names stay the same in every language, so the name you see here is the name on your invoice and the one our support desk will use.
What you pay for is people, not cattle
The free plan is not a trial or a taster. It is the whole product for a farmer who is the whole operation. You move up when you bring someone else in, or when you take on a second farm.

Why the free plan is not crippled
A farmer is legally required to produce removal certificates and keep vaccination records. Charging him for permission to meet that obligation would be a bad deal, so we do not.
The one thing the free plan cannot do is send stock to auction — that is the point at which KraalBook is earning you money rather than keeping you compliant.
When you move up a plan
Usually because you hired someone. Small Farmer is built for the farmer who is the whole operation — you keep your own records, on your own phone. The day you put a stockman on your stock, you need him capturing in the field under his own login, and that is Commercial.
Corporate is a different shape, not just a bigger number. It is for running more than one farm in one account, with managers over them. If you farm one property, Commercial covers you no matter how well the season goes.
The animal limits are the third reason, and the app never surprises you with them. If your herd grows past your plan, KraalBook tells you plainly and you keep recording as normal. Nothing changes until you agree to it, here on the website.
What counts as an animal?
- A batch counts as ONE record — not one per head. 10 ewes captured as a single batch count as 1.
- Only active animals count. Animals you have sold, or that have died, don't count toward your limit.
The small print, in plain words
Paying
You subscribe and pay here on the website — never inside the app. Billed securely via Paystack, by card or bank transfer (EFT). Your card details are held by Paystack, never by KraalBook.
Tax
Prices include VAT at 15%, so the figure you see is the figure you pay.
Free trial
Set for your country, and confirmed when you sign up. During the trial you get {t2}: up to 2 stockmen and send-to-auction.
If your herd passes a limit
Your price never goes up by itself. The app tells you which plan your herd now needs, and the price only changes after you agree to it here on the website.
If a payment fails
We retry it. You are never blocked from recording an animal because of a payment — not in the field, where you can't do anything about it anyway.
Your records
They are yours, and we don't delete them. You can always log in, look at everything you have captured, and export it. That holds whether you are paying us or not.
