Request a demo

A demo is a guided walk through KraalBook with your farm as the example — your species, your paperwork, your stockmen — so you can see how it would actually work for you before you commit any time to it.

Step 1 Tell us about your farm

Use the contact form and choose “Request a demo” as the subject. In the message, tell us as much of this as you can:

• Your name and your farm's name.
• Where you farm — the district and the country. This decides which statutory documents apply to you, and whether we produce them yet.
• What you run — cattle, sheep, goats or pigs, and roughly how many head.
• Who would use it — just you, or stockmen and managers capturing in the field as well. This is the thing that decides which plan fits you.
• How you keep records now — a notebook, a spreadsheet, or another system. If it is a spreadsheet, say so: your herd can usually be loaded in one go rather than typed in.
• How and when to reach you — phone, WhatsApp or email, and the times of day that suit you.

The more of that you send, the less of the demo is spent on questions we could have answered beforehand — and the more of it is spent on your actual farm.

Step 2 We come back to you to agree a time

We reply on whichever contact you gave us, and agree a time that suits you. Nothing is booked, and nothing is charged, until you have said yes to a time.

Step 3 On the day

A demo is a conversation, not a presentation. To get the most out of it:

• Have your phone with you. If you can, install the app beforehand — it is free — so you can follow along on your own device instead of watching ours.
• Be somewhere with signal for the call itself. The app works offline out in the veld; the conversation does not.
• Bring a real example. An animal you have just treated, a movement you need paperwork for, a report you always struggle to produce. Working through something real tells you far more than a made-up example.
• Bring your questions, including the awkward ones about cost, your data, and what happens if you stop paying. We would rather answer them now than have you find out later.

What we will show you

• Registering animals — one at a time, or a whole batch as a single record.
• Capturing births, treatments, vaccinations, movements, sales and deaths — including with no signal, out in the veld, syncing when you are back in range.
• Producing the statutory documents your country requires, which are free on every plan.
• The reports — vaccination and treatment registers, withdrawal periods, and the audit pack.
• How your stockmen capture under their own logins, and what they can and cannot see.
