Delete your KraalBook account
You can delete your KraalBook account at any time. There are two ways:
1. In the app (fastest)
- Open KraalBook and sign in.
- Go to the Settings tab (bottom right).
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete my account.
- Read what will be deleted and what is kept, type DELETE to confirm, and confirm once more.
Your account is deleted immediately. You are signed out everywhere and cannot sign in again.
2. By request (if you can't access the app)
Email from any address, or use our
contact form, with:
- your name, and
- the phone number your KraalBook account is registered under.
We will verify the request belongs to you and delete the account within 30 days,
confirming by reply.
What gets deleted
- Your name, phone number and ID number
- Your saved signature (farm owners)
- Your password and ability to sign in
- If you are the farm owner: the farm account closes and everyone on the farm loses access
What we keep, and why
Livestock traceability records (animal records and their event history — births,
vaccinations, treatments, movements, sales, deaths) must by South African law be kept for
5 years (Animal Identification Act / Stock Theft Act record-keeping requirements).
We keep those records for that period as permitted by POPIA section 14, but they no
longer contain your personal details — your name on them is replaced with “Deleted user”. After the
retention period they are erased.
