Which animals can I track?

Cattle, sheep, goats and pigs — as individual animals or whole batches (handy for flocks of sheep or pens of pigs).

Does it work without signal?

Yes. KraalBook is built for the field — you can capture births, vaccinations, treatments, sales and deaths with no signal at all, and everything syncs automatically once you're back in coverage.

What does it cost?

Android or iPhone?

Both! iPhone is on the App Store and Android is on Google Play — both run the same KraalBook, with your data stored in South Africa.

Do I need any special equipment?

Just your phone. An electronic ear-tag (EID/RFID) scanner is optional — it speeds up capturing big groups — but you can type tags in by hand too.

Can my workers use it?

Yes. Invite your stockmen by phone number and they can capture events in the field, while you see their activity from home.

What if I forget my password?

You can reset it yourself in the app — KraalBook sends a 6-digit code to your phone by SMS, and you set a new password.

What are the §6/§8 certificates?

They're the removal certificates you need to move or sell stock. When you build a sale, KraalBook generates the §6/§8 document as a PDF you can share or print.

Is my information safe?

Your data is stored in South Africa and handled in line with POPIA. See our Privacy Policy for the detail.
